trial and sentencing; if all these are added then the correct number is
around 600,000 prisoners.
Worst still we see cases, for example in Ahvaz, where a prisoner has
been waiting to be tried and sentenced for 21 years!" [Head

& now our take on this!
The above statement comes directly from the source.. Head of the Judiciary
System. If one brings into this statement the total population in Iran,
one can easily deduce that almost 1% of Iranian citizens are in Jail.
1% of Iran is in prison! This might not sound big in number but it is,
certainly, grave for a nation.
Iran has been in turmoil for over 23 years and our citizens are undergoing
torture, imprisonment, hanging, flogging, stoning. Our young girls are
being raped in prisons before execution since, according to Islamic interpretation,
no virgin can be executed.
- Killing, regardless of who is being killed,
- Torturing, regardless of who is being tortured,
- Flogging, regardless of who is being flogged,
- Stoning, regardless of who is being stoned;
Is inhumane and WRONG. What is going on in Palestine & Israel today
is wrong and unjustifiable by any take of the word humanity. BUT!

How can we, as Iranians, even bother ourselves with anything but the
atrocities that are being done in our own country and try to save others?
- How can we justify rescuing others when our own children are dying
of hunger?
- How can we justify rescuing others when our own people are homeless
and poor?
- How can we justify rescuing others when Iran is invaded by enemies
and is in danger!?
Are we not to save Iran first and then worry about saving humanity and
violations of rights of others? We can not even defend our own rights…
how can we be concerned with the right of others?
Should Iranians be more concerned about Iran than anywhere else?
- YES: Iranians should be concerned about Iran and its dire situation
more than anything else.
- NO: Iranians should be concerned about all violations everywhere
on the planet regardless of the situation in Iran
