Delivery of petitions is at the discretion of the petition authors (petitioners) and at their own responsibility rather than us. We are only the provider of a free service to host and maintain your petition.

Petitions can be delivered electronically, simply by e-mailing the petition URL with a note of explanation to the petition recipient. Or, the petition pages can be printed and delivered physically (use the fax icon to print). For maximum impact with a successful petition, we recommend doing both.

Some are of the opinion that repeated delivery of a petition is effective. However, in general, we would advise to the contrary. The first impression in the shadow of a professional delivery will have the most impact. This will remain your option. It is probably better in most cases to wait until a maximum level of support has been recorded. In the case of an urgent issue, there may be a stronger argument for delivering early and then delivering again later when more support has been acquired.

Because of the power of the press in spreading the word, perhaps a very effective strategy would be to send the petition URL relatively early to various appropriate media, with a note of explanation that the petition is still very much in progress.

Any promotion and vast distribution of the URL address to your public will remain at the discretion of the petitioners. The more the word is disseminated the better the result will be obtained. This can bring it more to the public eye, and begin to influence public officials (or other intended recipients), without diluting the impact of the actual petition delivery to them later on.

The final delivery to the petition target could then wait until an overwhelming response has been received. 

With the use of this free service, you do not have to spend top dollar to deliver physical copy of your petition to public.

This service helps you to obtain each signature and email address (always required, but optionally confidential) is logged for possible explicit or statistical validation. Each person who signs it, will be automatically registered in our protected confidential database.

Validation is a somewhat separate issue from delivery. At the discretion of IranPetition(TM), delivery will not include the e-mail addresses of petition signers who have made their addresses available. A petition can be prepared in a fashion that e-mail addresses are shown, but it may likely get fewer signers.

IranPetition(TM) has the technical ability to perform statistical validation by contacting sampling group of signers directly via the e-mail addresses it has privately archived (this data will remain the property of Iranpetition(TM) and its affiliates and shall not be made available to anyone, as indicated in the opening statement of the posted petition).

This kind of serious validation is not included in our free petition-hosting offer, but can be arranged on a cost-contract basis. Please call for details.

Ensuring identity without invading privileged information and privacy is quite a challenge. We do not see that a perfect solution is currently available, given that there is not yet any widespread foolproof system for protecting online identity.

With various free e-mail services made available on line by variety of service providers, an e-mail address will lose its established confidentiality, yet it remains as more than a name. Thanks to the technique available to us and other organizations we are able to link every e-mail address back to a person for the purpose of confirming identity.
